SPOKANE – Cougar legend Jack Thompson was both surprised and impressed with the quarterback play of Trey Tinsley and Anthony Gordon in the first half of the spring. They looked like seasoned veterans, Thompson told CF.C.
Cougar wide receivers Brandon Arconado, Dezmon Patmon and Rodrick Fisher also grabbed Thompson’s attention. So did true freshman running back Max Borghi.
“That’s the other thing, the receivers are really impressive to me … Arconado, Patmon, the young kid from Spokane (Fisher) made a nice catch and run. It’s really noticeable how comfortable they are. I haven’t seen many dropped passes, there have been nice yards after catch … and I love this (Max) Borghi kid,” said Thompson.
