Can you explain why we aren’t supposed to change our screen/window sizes?
Because if you change your window size, you're giving away more information in terms of browser fingerprinting. Let's say, for example, there are 1000 users. All 1000 of them don't change their window sizes. That means, someone who can see the window sizes, doesn't know whether the user is you, or one of the other 999 users. But, if you and 49 other people maximize their window sizes to the common 1920 by 1080, they know that anyone with that window size is one of those 50 people. It isn't that informative in and of itself, but if they can combine it with other data, they could figure out who you are as a user.
It's like a game of "Guess Who?". The more details you know, the easier it is to pinpoint a specific user.

In most situations, you don't need antivirus software when using Linux. If you have a Linux mail or fileserver that frequently connects to Windows PCs it might be a good idea though. Antivirus software on Linux mostly protects you against viruses from other operating systems, the Linus ecosystem itself has very little malware.

Hi Shaheer, did you try with the Tor browser? Because these links only work with Tor or other special dark web browsers. If you're using a regular browser like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, then the links do not work (because normal browsers don't give access to dark web sites).

Avast is decent, but we would say Kaspersky and Bitdefender are better options. And you don't need to use them both really, one antivirus program is enough.
Great list of sites and good description, thank you! However Tor itself, even with VPN, is not a secure/anonymous solution. I would recommend Tails Linux for this purpose. It is designed specifically for visiting deepweb and your computer will stay safe, as it runs from a pendrive.

However, do keep in mind that the free version of a VPN tends to have limitations that the paid version does not, such as data limits, speed limits, and a limited number of servers. Besides that, if you're going to use the VPN to browse the dark web, you might want to make sure the VPN has a kill switch, so you're never online unprotected.
I would recommend using a VM on top of a VPN and virus protection. This way even if anything is downloaded like malware you can close and restart the VM like nothing happened.

To be honest, it's best to use the Tor browser on your desktop and not your smartphone. The official Torproject website does give you the option to download a .apk file for Android and gives a link to the official Tor app for Android, but there's not such a thing for iOS. We would not recommend you to use the app that you've donwloaded. We would recommend that, anyone who wants to browse the Dark Web, installs both Tor and a VPN on their desktop. Download Tor from the official website, not just via some app in the app store. Also download a good VPN, such as NordVPN, and turn it on before you use the Tor browser.

Oooh, I really thought that Dark Web is a like black marketplace where you can buy organs or hire a sniper to take down your spouse. However, this phenomenon has always fascinated me. I have NordVPN and since it is proven to be the most secure VPN, I think I will try entering the Dark Side, though I am a little scared. At least, I'm sure that with Nord I'll be protected like behind a shield, from all the data collectors and cyber attackers.
