Albany County Sheriff's Search and Rescue operates under the authority of the Albany County Sheriff. We are all trained volunteers and our services are provided free of charge, but we rely heavily on your 501(c)(3) tax-deductible donations.

Meetings are held the last Tuesday of the month with the exception of December.

About Albany County Wyoming

Located in southeast Wyoming, Albany County consists of 4,309 square miles. The high plains, with an elevation that rarely drops below 7000 feet, is flanked with mountain ranges both east and west. The Laramie Range to the east of the county is home to popular locations like Happy Jack Recreation Area and Vedauwoo. To the west lies the Snowy Range and Medicine Bow Peak towering above the plains at 12,013 feet. Both ranges are part of the Medicine Bow National Forest.
