THE HAMILTON COUNTY CORONER’S OFFICE REVEALING NEW DETAILS ABOUT WHAT WAS UNCOVERED YESTERDAY DURING THE SEARCH FOR REMAINS IN NORTH FAIRMOUNT. WE’RE TOLD THAT CREWS FOUND A HUMAN HEAD THERE. THE CORONER’S OFFICE IS STILL CONDUCTING FORENSIC TESTS TO DETERMINE IF IT COULD BE CONNECTED TO THE TORSO THAT WAS FOUND BACK IN NOVEMBER ON BALTIMORE AVENUE. A human head was discovered during a search near the site of where a dismembered body was found in November.Cincinnati FBI’s Evidence Response Team along with police conducted the search Wednesday in the 1600 block of Baltimore Avenue where a dismembered body was found on Nov. 5.The body was found in the woods off of Baltimore Avenue, about 100 yards from Beekman Avenue. The coroner's office said they haven't been able to identify the body and that it's being investigated as a homicide case, but did say a human head was part of the remains discovered during their search Wednesday with the FBI, about a block from where the woman's torso was found.Hamilton County Coroner Lakshmi Sammarco said forensic tests are still being ran to determine if the two body parts are related. “I've been in law enforcement for over 33 years and I've not seen anything of this nature,” said Cincinnati police Capt. Steve Saunders. “I've been at this and talking to the investigators who have been there, they have not seen anything of this nature as well in their career. So, very unusual.” Sammarco identified the body found in November as a Black female in her 20s or early 30s. She said the woman was petite, around 5 feet tall and 120 to 125 pounds. Sammarco said after their analysis of the body, they believe the woman could have been a mother.“First of all, we have to be certain whether these body parts are associated with the body that was found Nov. 5 or other cases that we're working on,” said Hamilton County coroner Dr. Lakshmi Sammarco.The woman's body did not have any identifying marks or tattoos so they are reaching out to the public for help identifying the body.Currently, Cincinnati FBI’s Evidence Response Team is searching for evidence to help identify the remains.It brings about another chilling possibility that one person could be responsible for multiple dismemberments.“It could be, yeah. And that's certainly something we're looking into.
