We have a cabin outside of Highlands with no TV or internet. The Lost Hiker is great about letting us hang out, watch sports games, drink beer, eat our carry-in pizza, and check internet. They've even let us come in when they've been closed before. Even though they don't serve food, you can order a pizza down the street or some sandwiches from Mountain Fresh (or brown bag it) and eat there while you watch a game. Overall, very accommodating and generous owner, nice space to hang out in, good TV, fast internet and good beer choices!

Lost or not, the Lost Hiker is a fun place to hangout. The bartenders are always nice and attentive. We usually go in the afternoons when it is on the quiet side so we can talk, but if you want to catch some good music check out the late night scene. The drinks and craft beers are de--lish!

I love this local hangout bar! It's always such a great mix of people and it's only getting better. They bring in great karaoke once a week. The bands are always really cool. The bartenders are knowledgeable and fun. I can't wait to go back:)

The Lost Hiker is a fun, down-to-earth bar that offers two pool tables, darts, pac woman and video cornhole. There's karaoke 🎤 on Tuesday nights, though I've not been. Drinks are reasonably priced and the people are nice. Quite different than many Highlands restaurants and bars.

I am shocked. A bar that's not filled with people over 50. Spot was really cool and the drink prices were cheap by highland standards. 3 pool tables, several tvs, great electronic juke box, dart board etc. I was shocked that there were people in their early 20s and 30s here. Kind of a local hangout for restraunt workers and others in the city. Cute bartender and the folks were friendly. Probably one of the few places to go in highlands if you are looking for a younger crowd. Actually had a decent ratio and wasn't all dudes which was cool. People are really friendly.

This is one of the few bars in Highlands. Good place to watch a game in the afternoon and they have great lice music on the weekend nights. Laid back atmosphere and have a solid selection.

We heard of this place but it opens at 5pm. We decided to drive by and BONUS....it's was open around 3pm on the weekend. They are going to open earlier for football. As mentioned in other reviews, they do not have food but they have great drinks and prices are not that bad for Highlands. The bar holds about 12 and there are few tables to set at. Townes and Lisa were great. We are so glad we found this place. Perfect.

It's Highlands and you never know who you'll run into in town or at the Hiker. One of the local Hot spots. We love to meet with friends here after dinner in town. Nice walk and did I mention it's Highlands?

My husband & I wandered in for a drink before dinner this past Saturday evening. This was our first visit to Highlands NC and we really enjoyed the Lost Hiker hospitality! The patrons and bartender gave us a warm welcome and a friendly goodbye when we left. I had the best Lemon Drop Martini ever! Highly recommend a visit to The Lost Hiker.
