What travelers are saying
- hallidaynyNew York City, New York108 contributionsHow can you not love this place? It is the Earth's crust that got shoved into the air by Africa... It is awesome and interesting. Gibraltar is also a trading haven, and has a surprisingly varied level of experiences. Good restaurants, hotels, big time business...Written April 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Shelagh M1 contributionThe cave was an amazing experience . We had visited a few years ago but the new Awakening the light and sound was unbelievable! I felt like I was in a cathedral with the music it was so relaxing . I could’ve stayed for hours but unfortunately our tour guide only allowed us 20 mins which wasn’t enough to appreciate it . Our grandchildren loved it too they are 9,10 and 12 .Written April 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IAN DWigan, UK19,710 contributionsOne of the many tunnels on the Rock. This is much nearer the summit than others and offers great views through the rock which had previously cannons in place. Great history and fascinating to read the history of how they were made and usage.Written March 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MarkadlzAshby de la Zouch, UK253 contributionsA walk up The Med Steps is a classic walk in Gibraltar and something that we do on most visits. Not “technical” but needs a reasonable level of fitness and some tolerance for heights. Great views en-route and plenty of interesting bits of history. We went when the vegetation was in flower which was a nice extra touch. You may want to check if you need to pay for Upper Rock entrance as the starting point is right by the ticket office. We were kindly waved through but that may have been a nice gesture rather than policy. From the top of the Steps, you can stroll down the Rock through all the major attractions and head right down into town.Written April 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GarryUKNewbury, UK409 contributionsThis surprised us. There is a lot to see. The Muslim baths are amazing as is the well excavation in the garden. The rest of the rooms are full of history and the parts on the Gotham cave complex and nethanderals are very well presented.

- GarryUKNewbury, UK409 contributionsThis is a must see. These people do a wonderful job of rescuing and looking after exotic animals, reptiles and birds that have been trafficked or rejected. They are well looked after in lovely pens.
