    I never got to see the band. What I want to do here is highlight the sheer rudeness, incompetence and poor judgment of the venue. I was refused entry on the grounds that 'I smelled of beer' by the hi-vis clad security thugs. At no point was I in any way threatening, aggressive or any such. Indeed, I was happy and relaxed after a few pints with a mate before a gig I was looking forward to very much. The Borderline was crossed, last night, and I strongly urge everyone to avoid what is a very unwelcoming little venue that employs morons as 'security'. For the record, I am a 'hooligan' in my seventh decade of life. Boycott the Borderline.
