Esencia Group is mentioned in Frommers as a group that is involved in golf course and luxury resort development in Cuba. Esencia (according to their web site) have a travel comany "The Cuban Travel Company", which organizes custom tours in Cuba.

If you go directy to the Esencia Group's web page, it's travel page is linked to Esencia Experiences and nothing shown for the Cuba Travel Co.

If everything is on the up & up, my question would be...why would you consider traveling with them? I would assume that if one was to travel through them, one would have to be in the UK to take advantage of their services. No where does it state about the departure city. Any pricing I see is in Pounds or Euros. Being in the USA, you would be better off financially, traveling from Canada or somewhere closer than the UK. IMHO

The Essencia Group web site travel link does take you to a link for Esencia Experiences and The Cuban Travel Company (the are listed one after the other if you look closely).

We are US Citizens travelling to Cuba with a permit and are just looking to use The Cuban Travel Company to arrange and book our land package in Cuba. Travel from Miami to Havana is being booked separately.

I just returned from a trip to Cuba planned and organized by The Cuba Travel Company. Every restaurant, hotel, guide and activity was fantastic. I highly recommend this company.

We normally organise all our own travel and rarely book tours but we're trying to organise our honeymoon and it would be great to have someone take care of everything for once! :) However, there doesn't seem to be a lot of information around about either travel company - a google search brought me to this page!

Sorry, I don't go on Trip Advisor except when I am planning a trip and I just saw your question. I stumbled upon The Cuba Travel Company via an internet search. Since I am from the U.S. and travel can be challenging for Americans to Cuba, I wanted a company that had vetted all the good hotels, B & B's and activities. The Cuba Travel Company chose fantastic accomodations and travel activities for us. Every restaurant, guided tour and hotel was unique and of high quality. We met some other Americans who were travelling as a group on a "people tp people tour," and they paid more and their accomodations and activities were not as nice nor interesting as ours. I would recommend The Cuba Travel company.
