2 people found dead at Deerfield Beach home, deputies say

Employees of a doctor’s office went to check on a co-worker at her Deerfield Beach home Wednesday morning after she didn’t show up for work.

Through an open door they saw a body and called 911, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

When deputies and fire rescue crews arrived at the home in the 400 block of Northeast 39th Street around 9:40 a.m., they found a 41-year-old woman and 24-year-old man dead inside, according to BSO spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright.

The department did not release the identity of the man or woman — who lived alone in the home.

Detectives spent the day collecting evidence, canvassing the area and questioning neighbors, BSO said.

No other information was immediately available.
