Great training hill. All wide paved road, Great views at all times, crowded on weekends and early weekdays. Steepity in places. About the time you're feeling sorry for yourself, a mom with twins in a stroller will pass you.

Old church which started in 1776, though most of the church was built relatively recently. Entry has well known early church characters painted around, starting with Augustine. At the far left end there is a pictorial legend of each.
The cathedral is very long with an arched roof its length with inset tiles. ~8-10’ tall portrait stained glass window insets in sides, each worth a steady gaze.
Partook in a Christmas Eve day mass. Pomp and incense.

This museum was a complete surprise to us on a recent visit to the Pima Air Museum. It’s a wonderful facility dedicated to the 390th bomb group in WW2. Admission is included with your fee to the main Pima grounds. It’s in the middle of the Pima grounds (which is also a nice indoor break when it gets hot outside or you need a break from the walking outdoor portion of the Pima museum)

The volunteers are wonderful and amazingly educated. We heard so many stories. We were there when a B17 pilot was on site recounting his experience during the war. We hear about his experience piloting his bomber back to the Britain from Germany with 3 of 4 engines out, only to find his brakes were out of service when he made it back and he landed. Incredible story from a hero in honor of so many other hero’s in the group. Other volunteers told us about the b17 crew jackets and details behind the designs on second floor. We were also in awe looking at all the photos of the 390th b17 crews on the second floor. The photos seem like they went on forever. So many dedicated hero’s who served our country with the odds stacked against them.

This is definitely a must see museum within a museum. Great job to those volunteers and fantastic exhibits

Fantastic, hands on museum located in downtown Tucson. The museum has lots to offer with many different themed rooms for kids to play, experiment, build, etc. Would recommend arriving early as it did get crowded around 11 AM and plan to spend about 2-3 hours here. And age groups best for this museum, in my opinion, 2 years - 10 years. Location is great as it is walking distance to various restaurants downtown. No food/drink sold inside the museum. Did appreciate staff wearing masks, various hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the premises and free masks at the desks (although not required during your visit).

What an historical treasure in downtown Tucson! Our guide was super knowledgeable and informative about the history of Tucson (and the Southwest in general). She provided anecdotes about every detail of the Presidio Museum. It is nice to see the history of the Old Pueblo preserved. Great glimpse into the past! Highly recommend going!

Took this as our first hike into the Arizona wild after arriving for a multi-month stay in Tucson. It was listed as one of the shorter dog friendly hikes in the area. We have an older / flat lander dog that this was probably a little more than we should have bit off for a first trail. It is steep, rocky and narrow with lots of cactus growth. Trail is not well marked as you head down into canyon, so on the way back up we got off the main trail by accident and had to pick out way back onto the route. Beautiful canyon and a beautiful drive up that was undergoing a lot of construction work, so you had to follow a lead car up the dirt road while we were there. I would do this hike again, but probably not bring the older dog.

I stayed across the street at the Graduate so decided to walk over my last day in Tucson. As an east coaster I admittedly didn’t know much about the history of Arizona, so I was happy to learn more. My friend and I were the only people there at 10 am on a Saturday. We took our time perusing the information and artifacts. There were antique wagons, silver, clothing, guns, an old studebaker, and other items on display. I particularly appreciated the sections on Geronimo, beer and wine, and the memorial to the victims of the Tucson mass shooting in 2011. All in all, a nice little museum for folks interested in old west history.

We went to the park to get our steps in for the day. There are a few ponds with lots of birds and turtles. Plus there is a little train that drives around one of the lakes. Also a dog park and children’s play area. Lots of parking.

Rillito River Park is considered by TucsonLoop.org, the official site of the city, as the best place to start. It definitely is if you want to be in the middle of everything the Loop has to offer. There are ALOT of restaurants and great coffee shops nearby - such as Cafe Luce and Ren Coffee. I recommend biking east on The Loop for for the best scenery. My second fave spot on The Loop is Oro Valley, starting at Oro Valley Market Place.

The entire experience was wonderful. Our guide, Will, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge. I learned so much and will definitely tell others about the tour. Tucson is so fortunate to have the mirror lab. Thank you for bringing back the tours.

I found out about this petting zoo through Tripadvisor when researching a day trip to Tucson from Phoenix. It's rare to find a petting zoo where you can interact with animals outside of a zoo, where there are always swarms of screaming children, so I decided to check it out. The surrounding area is a bit misleading and I thought I was at the wrong place at first because the farm is tucked in the middle of an industrial/trailer area. However, you'll see a bunch of cars parked outside with families walking around so it's hard to miss.

The farm itself has wide open pens for each animal type with covered shaded areas, so they all have plenty of space to walk around or relax away from people if wanted. People can go inside the more "domesticated" animal pens on their own to feed and interact with goats, chickens, and ducks. I appreciated that the more exotic animals require a tour so that there is a bit of supervision and instruction on how to interact with them properly. I'm an animal lover so I'm always on the look out for any red flags of mistreatment in these kinds of settings since I would never want to support businesses that use animals just for profit. However to my untrained eye the animals all seemed content, clean, and well taken care of. I also liked that the tour included a bit of education of each animal, so it's a bit more than just a petting zoo. No this place is nothing "glamorous" like a zoo that's more built for humans to enjoy, however the animal needs are met and its a cozy, quiet place to meet animals like capybara, mara, and more.

If you're in need of baby goat cuddles, I'd definitely recommend a visit!
