Modest Mouse announce 'Good News' 20th anniversary reissue, share Poolside remix & bonus videos

Modest Mouse‘s mainstream breakthrough Good News for People Who Love Bad News (the one with “Float On”) turns 20 on April 6, and the band will be celebrating with an expanded 20th anniversary edition on April 5 via Epic (pre-order). It features the original album plus remixes by Poolside, MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden, Dan the Automator, Justin Raisen, Jacknife Lee, John Congleton & Chris Godbey, and more, and the vibey Poolside remix of “Ocean Breathes Salty” is out now. Also released in conjunction with this announcement is the video for “The World At Large/Stiff Animal Fantasy,” which was previously only available on the DVD side of the Good News DualDisc, and “Schoolhouse Brock – Modest Mouse On Trial” from that same DVD, a comedic interview with Isaac Brock and the band’s lawyer, Dave Frishberg, who was also the person who wrote and sung the Schoolhouse Rock song “I’m Just A Bill.” Check those videos out below too.

Modest Mouse are gearing up for a tour with the Pixies and Cat Power, including NYC’s Forest Hills Stadium on June 15. All dates are listed below.
