William Holmes age 16 of Grinnell, Iowa died Monday at the University Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa. Burial in the Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell, Iowa.
William Michael Holmes was the son of Michael Sarsfield and Alice Faye Rhinehart Holmes. He lived in Norwalk, California most of his life and was active in sports while in school. Participating in water polo, baseball, tennis and basketball.
He was a sophomore at Grinnell High School the past year and was a member of the tennis team. In recent months he was employed at the Hy-Vee Food Store.
