Waste Control Specialists serves Akron Recycling, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company, Material and Energy Corporation and Midland Certified Reagent. The company uses various treatment technologies, including chemical oxidation, deactivation, neutralization, stabilization, and microencapsulation and macroencapsulation. Additionally, Waste Control Specialists is a wholly owned subsidiary of Valhi.
