            Pros

Yates works to provide a family first environment. The friendliest people I have ever worked for. They strive for team work and genuinely care about jobsite safety.

            Cons

Project Management, Accounting, and payroll software works like they systems were built in the 90's or early 2000's. Most of the people running the departments in their Corp Offices have never worked anywhere else, or Yates is their first construction company job, so they are not even aware of how far behind in software technology they are, and have ZERO interest in making any changes. What took me an hour to do at my last employer takes 4-5 hours at Yates, because of how restrictive Yates is in allowing access to information, and how difficult their systems are to learn and use.

              Pros

The pay is good and the community is good. I really like my coworkers. Lots of good experience can be gained through working on the projects that Yates does as well.

              Cons

The benefits are poor and the training is poor, but we are working on improving the training process.

                Cons

Need to hire more quality and technically strong people. Lot of employees come from carpenter and labor experience.

                  Pros

                  Large company, plenty of diversity

                  Cons

Too compartmentalized. Information not shared throughout the project team. Health benefits are good but they are through a private self-insured program so billing is confusing to the medical providers.

                      Senior Designer

Hi I got a job offer after 4 rounds of interviews as a mid level designer. I come from a different country so the experience in the UK is as good as zero. However in my career I have worked for more than 12 years. The company offered all the benefits and pay but in a FTC for 3 months only. They said they loved my work and me especially, only need to figure out if I can work in this country with clients with different requirements. Is this fine or is there something I’m not clearly seeing?

                      Clinical Pharmacist

I have a phone screen with a Accenture this week for an entry level position as a Sales Development Associate. My background is almost entirely in pharmacy/healthcare but I have worked in retail pharmacy for several years, which requires soft skills and sales acumen. I’ve attained transferable skills that will be conducive to being successful in a sales role. Any advice? It would be sincerely appreciated.

                      Content Strategist

Completed a second round interview with a CMO and head of digital marketing. I feel like I might have bombed because I could not give hard, concrete numbers on how my previous content strategy work impacted revenue growth (x%) or (x% increase in SQLs) Any advice for how I can answer questions like this in future if I don’t have that hard data?
