From "Once Upon A Time - A History of the Emory Chapel Community", by David M. Hall, 1976. Page 328:

The Moormans were very early immigrants to Chambers County. The 1840 Census indicated that Silas Moorman's family consisted of two minors under the age of five and one under the age of 10 and two in the age group of 20-30. Later census shows that he was married to "Elizabeth" and that they both were born in Georgia, he in 1799 and she in 1803. The Moormans were successful farmers in Section 32, Township 22, Range 27 in the early years of Chambers County. Both are thought to be buried in graves marked by field stones at head and foot about the center of the Moorman row in Emory Chapel Cemetery.
