TUSD is all I know since the beginning of my education. Their standards are so much higher that where my mom went years ago. She tells me how difficult those days were and how she didn’t get the proper attention she needed from her teachers. I have had the privilege to learn from a great set of TUSD teachers, they have molded me for a better future. My mom was allowed to help out in my early education volunteering at my school, and that helped me with my confidence and eased my learning.

Review Torrance Unified School District

My best part of my experience is probably the teachers - every teacher I’ve ever had has been a great leader and inspiration for me. My worst experience has been my classmates (sometimes) when it comes to doing group projects and/or team work. I feel as though I’m the only one to ever do work, and I have to make up for their bad time management skills or laziness. I would like to see the bathrooms change, including the cleanliness and the toilet paper/woman products that are given in them.

I am a part of Js and Vs club, CSF, and also the Compassion Towards Animals club at our school. It has been great to volunteer through CSF and Js and Vs to give experience in helping our community. I am also a part of the cross country and track team at my school and we are able to raise money through fundraising and go to meets often. Usually once or twice a week. Our training has been well with easy days and intense training days. The unenjoyable part is that some classes are extremely quiet. We will be given a worksheet and everyone will be silently working on it. I would like to have classes be in group form and allow us to talk together while working otherwise it can get very boring. I would also want tutoring help during the day since I can’t do the after school tutoring because of my running practice.
