Das Waisenhaus ist ein Horror/Drama Film von Juan Antonio Bayona. Das Drehbuch schrieb Sergio G. Sánchez dazu… Eine Frau kehrt mit ihrer Familie in das Haus ihrer Kindheit zurück, dass früher ein Heim für verwaiste und behinderte Kinder war… Die Geschichte erzählt eine Spukgeschichte, die von Juan Antonio Bayona in seinem eigenen Stil inszeniert ist, und von seiner ästhetischen Kohärenz überzeugt. Sei es in den überzeugenden Soundeffekten, in der perfekten Kamera Führungen oder in den präzisen Schnitt Frequenzen… Das Waisenhaus ist ein sehenswerter Film aus Spanien und ist ein kleines Juwel, das auf sparsamen Horror setzt… absolut sehenswert.
