Biography

Theresa Capone she was a seamstress and from the province of Salerno in Italy. She and Gabriele Capone married about 1891 and had two sons, Vincenzo Capone in 1892 & Raffaele before they moved to to USA coming through Canada to New York in 1894. The Capone family lived first at 93 Navy Street. Theresa became a US citizen in 1906. By 1912, the family moved to 21 Garfield Place in Brooklyn.

Theresa was the mother of 'Scarface' Al Capone, famous American gangster.

She died in 1952 and is interred at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois. ^[1]
