        Cons

Takeda takes advantage of their employees and prevents opportunities for growth for individuals as some managers want to resource guard their talent. For example, on multiple occasions I have heard of senior leaders preventing or trying to delay "high potential" talent from switching brands within a BU or between BUs. One team had 4 maternity or paternity leaves happen in the middle of 2 launches over a 5 month span, and rather than open those positions to development or stretch assignments for others in different BUs, all the work fell on 1-2 individuals, without any recognition or compensation for their contributions. Most leaders don't prioritize internal applicants for their open roles, and it is considered more important to attract new talent rather than retain current talent through development or stretch assignments. Takeda promotes individuals who tow the company line, and not on individuals who invest in developing and creating opportunities of growth or recognition for themselves or their team members.

          Pros

The organization is filled with hard-working teams and employees. There are many opportunities for employee-driven development through internal learning resources and short-term rotations. The organization continually strives toward patient-centricity which is not just a talking point (unlike some other companies). There are a LOT of initiatives around DEI, work-life alignment, and culture building.

          Cons

Constant shifts and changes in leadership made career development and upward movement challenging due to inconsistencies in opportunities, communication, expectations, and commitment to culture by leaders. Teams were understaffed, overworked, and undersupported, bogged down with processes that led to burnout and employee mental health issues. Leaders were difficult to trust. Transparency was lacking among team structures. Information sharing was highly controlled and often stayed with only a select few. The talking points spoken by Sr. Director and above leadership are not often backed by action. An annual "cleaning of the house" exists where stakeholders suddenly disappear. The HR business partner is working for leadership, not the employee. You are treated like a number if you leave or are separated from the company. Takeda does not live up to its people-first value.

            Pros

Takeda Pharmaceuticals is a company that truly values employee development and growth. During my tenure there, I was consistently presented with opportunities to expand my skill set and take on new challenges. The company fosters an environment that encourages continuous learning, providing ample resources and support for professional development. This commitment to nurturing talent allowed me to acquire valuable expertise that has undoubtedly enriched my career trajectory.

            Cons

However, it's important to note that Takeda Pharmaceuticals seemed to struggle with providing clear pathways for upward mobility within the organization. Despite my efforts and contributions, I found that growth opportunities were limited, and it was challenging to advance into more senior roles. In addition the pay was lower than average and HR refused to negotiate my salary. Moreover, I experienced a disheartening situation where both myself and several colleagues were abruptly terminated upon providing our two weeks' notice. This lack of transparency and seemingly retaliatory action left a bitter taste, casting doubt on the company's commitment to fostering a stable and respectful work environment.

              Pros

Benefits are amazing. For the most part the culture is good.

              Cons

I ask a lot of questions so I can understand what I'm doing and why. There were documented cases where my co-workers with harassing and bullying me. I quite because I was crying on shift a lot, and my supervisor kept brushing the issues under the rug. Almost every task we performed had to be done with at least two people, and I would request help from co-workers to proceed to next steps. Someone would say they would come and then ghost me for an hour or two before showing up. I would request to be on teams for activities, and then co-workers always responded that they didn't see my messages in the group chat. And one of my co-workers threatened me in the parking lot, because I wasn't responding to their bullying in the way they wanted me to respond.

Benefits were good when I worked there.

                Cons

This has probably changed but there were some legacy employees from acquisitions that may have needed to move on.

                  Pros

Great work-life balance and working with smart people. Company genuinely lives by its values and is great at championing diversity in my business unit, including upper management (VP+). lot of WFH flexibility compared to many other companies. Base pay and bonuses are competitive.

                  Cons

RSU grants are 1/2 of other companies in Boston area at AD level, which is hundreds of thousands of dollars over time opportunity cost. I still think it is worth it for all the other positive aspects, but if I ever leave this will be why.

Small location, so maybe people were spread too thin.

Hi everyone, I recently interviewed for a remote Analyst position at CVS Health. First interview was on 3/19 with mngr and SR. person/team lead. Moved onto the second round which was on 3/25 with SR. mngr. I asked for an update last week 4/2 and recruiter told me the team was still interviewing. Asked for another update yesterday 4/9, and was told by recruiter that he will find out this week. If I didn't get the job they would've just told me right? Why drag me on this long? What could this mean

I interviewed with Green’s Appliance in Grimes and they advertise $20 but the base pay is $15. Seems to be grossly misleading to career searchers.
