Tim is a trial lawyer who has successfully tried cases in both state and federal courts throughout the State of Texas. Tim assists individuals and businesses in a wide range of matters, including commercial litigation, construction claims, employment matters, oil and gas litigation, insurance defense, and fiduciary litigation.  In commercial litigation, Tim has represented individuals and businesses in partnership disputes, contract disputes, real estate disputes, deceptive trade and practices claims, and defamation. In construction disputes, he represents owners, contractors, and subcontractors in a broad array of disputes, including construction defects, mechanic liens, and design claims. In employment matters, Tim has counseled both employers and employees on employment agreements, non-competition agreements, non-solicitation agreements, and wrongful termination claims. In insurance defense, he handles personal injury and wrongful death claims that involve negligence, gross negligence, and premises liability, as well as representing businesses in connection with a variety of other claims. Tim’s representation has included claims ranging from workplace accidents to catastrophic truck accidents.

Tim also maintains an appellate practice, and has successfully represented clients in Texas appellate courts, including the Texas Supreme Court.

He obtained his law degree from Baylor Law School, graduating first in his class. While in law school, Tim served as an editor of the Baylor Law Review and participated in the school’s advocacy program.

Tim and his wife, Jackie, have four children. He enjoys spending time with his family, camping, hiking, running, and sports. Tim is active in the community, serving on the board for non-profit and other community organizations.
