Overview

Shaw’s GSA Environmental Services Contract provides all Federal agencies and eligible ordering activities a quick and efficient means of dealing with their environmental needs.

Under GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) 899, Shaw Environmental, Inc. (Shaw) can provide any Federal agency with environmental planning, compliance, remediation and training services.  This MAS provides a means to meet both individual and unique requirements in an efficient and effective manner. It enables the Federal community to utilize commercial buying practices, significantly reduce the time/cost of acquisition, and devote more of their resources to their primary missions.

Under this MAS, Shaw provides Federal activities with environmental services to meet the requirements of various laws including the Clean Air and Water Acts, the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).  Environmental Services provided under this MAS are distinct from, and do not include construction, alteration or repair of buildings, structures, or other real property, architect-engineering and/or design services as defined in FAR Part 36.

GSA has authorized state and local governments to utilize this GSA Schedule contract for disaster recovery purchasing.  This allows the use of this MAS by state and local governments to facilitate recovery from presidentially-declared major disasters, terrorism, nuclear, biological, chemical, or radiological attacks. GSA further modified this schedule contract to authorize Shaw to accept orders issued under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act by all Federal agencies and other eligible ordering activities, including state and local governments – if the services also are for disaster recovery.

Shaw offers an integrated team of technical, scientific and management professionals to fulfill the broad spectrum of Environmental Services. Shaw has the professional staff, tools and corporate commitment to ensure that Federal agencies and eligible ordering activities fulfill their environmental needs in a cost effective and efficient manner. Shaw has a thorough understanding of environmental laws and regulations and extensive experience solving environmental problems for Federal agencies around the country, and worldwide.

Shaw coordinates efforts under this GSA Schedule through a Program Management Office in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Individual delivery orders are managed and performed by staff located near the facility requesting support. Our ability to apply knowledge gained nationally through local project management and technical resources is facilitated by our nationwide network of more than 70 offices housing more than 6,000 employees.  Shaw’s Program Management Office ensures that the best resources are applied under each order, contractural obligations are met, and quality and safety practices are followed consistently.  Management and performance on each delivery order by qualified staff located near the facility ensures local regulatory, geographic, and ecological knowledge and simplifies communication with facility personnel.  In this manner, Federal facilities can utilize a “local” consultant backed by the resources, knowledge, and experience of national leaders in environmental consulting and remediation.
