I just visited Dr Hassll's office a week ago as a new patient, My previous Doctor who is retired (he was my doctor for 15 years) and recommended me to this new group of doctors(North Dallas Urology) The Doctor seems fine to me however his office staffs are the worse in the country ( may be in the whole world) I have never experienced these kind of response from a Doctor's office in my whole life after several days of my visit still waiting for the prescription that I am taking for 10 years, I left several messages, pharmacy reached out to them twice and I requested my refills through their stupid portal 4 times and send email 2 twice no replay yet or medication refill yet) . You can only get a live person if you are booking an appointment. What a service!!!!!

Dr J Scott Hassell removed a kidney 16 years ago. He is compassionate, empathetic, extremely knowledgeable AND...gave me the best 16 years of my life!!! I go back annually for check-ups and he is always the same -- kind, considerate, and professionally competent!

Dr Hassell seemed knowledgeable, ordered tests and I waited the expected two weeks for the results. Two months later and after multiple calls to the office I got no response. I finally contacted the labs directly for my results which I will be taking to a different Urologist.

I have been under the care of Dr Hassell for 8+ years. He has consistently been prompt. He has always been a compassionate doctor regarding any issues that I was going through. Best of all he seemed to be well informed in the area of Urology.

I brought my 95 year old father for a check up and diagnosis. It is difficult for him to get around and coming to the office was an ordeal. Yet he wanted to see this doctor as he was recommended. We arrived on time for the appointment but he had to wait over an hour before he was called in. Then another 10 minutes in the hallway before someone brought him in. It has now been an additional half hour and I don't know if he has even seen the doctor yet. The doctor has good credentials and must be knowledgeable but this lack of courtesy shows an absence of diligence on the part of the office,. The staff seems oblivious to the fact that people are kept waiting so long. I could not in good conscience recommend this office.

I found Dr. Hassell to be very polite and kept me informed on every step he took as he performed a prostrate biopsy. I had no discomfort or complications during or after the procedure.

I was diagnosed with Renal Carcinoma and met with Dr Hassell to discuss options. The Doctor was very helpful, patient,and answered all of my questions.

Dr. Hassel in an emergency situation does not respond timely or in a compassionate way. He leaves the room before questions are answered and fails to take time to be even an average doctor. His lack of attention caused a severe complication that cost me days of agony and kidney trauma, not to mention thousands of dollars in extra hosptial expenses.

I waited for this doctor from 7:00am to 4:30pm with no food or water so that I could have surgery on my kidney stones. He never called or provided an update. I had to stay another night in the hospital. Surgery was scheduled for 7:00am the next morning. I didn't go in until almost 11:00. The nurses and other doctors stated that he is always late. He said he was going to perform a prostate exam while I was under sedation, but he did not. He had poor communication skills and was neglectful. I am now going to see Dr. Chester Graham. It's like night and day.
