Defendant, Ronnie K. Hongo, was convicted of attempted second degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon in a trial by jury. Defendant appeals only his conviction of attempted second degree murder and his subsequent sentencing as an habitual offender, fourth offense, resulting in a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
