I had asked for info on these two in another post but did not get any so I thought I might get a better response if it was in the title. I am located west of Atlanta, have my hazmat and am taking the tanker test this week and planning on putting in applications. Looking for out and back runs and weekends off. Any info on these companies would be great or other company recommendations. Thanks for your help.

Rogers Cartage is a division of Tankstar. You can make a good living there, but it's a cheapskate outfit. They run Elogs. The big boys in Milwaukee have a habit of firing terminal managers, office people, etc, to cut costs, but don't mess with the drivers.

Thanks for the reply Chinatown. Got my tanker endorsement and am going to start putting in applications. Any company recommendations would be appreciated.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Superior Carriers would be much better than Rogers.
Florida Rock & Tank probably be home daily or weekly, but from what I understand the pay isn't too good.
Most tanker companies pull out of Savannah; Superior Carriers, Trimac, CTL Transportation, SVTN, Miller Transporters.
A&R Transport is an excellent company & drivers make $65K - $72K per year. Terminal in Atlanta. Good website to look at.
Bulkmatic in Doraville, GA
Foodliner in Atlanta & SavannahGoVol and randomname Thank this. -
Chinatown, Thanks for the reply I will look at all of them. I hope to get some applications in before I go back out.
Chinatown Thanks this. -

The recruiter told me the insurance would not let them take anyone with less than 2 years. Said they just bought out another company in Dalton, ga and needed drivers. If there equipment is bad maybe I dodged a bullet. Thanks for the reply. I hope to get more applications in this weekend.
