Robert F. "Bob" Diaz is a county judge in the Criminal Division of the Broward County Court of Florida. He was appointed by former Governor Lawton Chiles on July 15, 1992. He was re-elected in 2012 for a term that expired on January 8, 2019.[1][2][3]
Education
Diaz received his undergraduate degree from Florida International University and his J.D. degree (1984) from Nova Southeastern University Law School.[1]
Career
Diaz began his career as an Assistant Public Defender. He was then appointed to the County Court in 1992.[1]
2012 election
Diaz was re-elected on Nov. 6, 2012, defeating Roshawn Banks with 58.7% of the vote. He previously received 49.7% of the vote in the primary on August 14, 2012.[3][4][5][6]
