Biography
Richard Guffey was born in 1777 in Amherst, Virginia. He is the son of Ephraim Guffey and Nancy Unknown. He married in 1803. He died March 18, 1853.

Guffey-42 and Guffey-1285 appear to represent the same person because: Birth Dates are close, death dates match. Each profile has more specific information i.e. Amherst, Virginia and Clinton, Kentucky. I have 5 sources that give 08 April, 1803 as the marriage date in Wayne, KY and 4 sources that give the date as 16 April, 1803. The earlier date could be the license date and marriage was actually on the 16th.
