- 5.0People LeaderCurrent Employee, more than 8 yearsNew Berlin, NY
Pros
Preferred has made a tremendous effort in meeting the needs of their people. They've implemented an unlimited time off policy, trust leaders to manage their teams, and offer incredible benefits and incentives. I appreciate that executive leaders are invested in, committed to, and actively working to make Preferred a better place to work every day. We work hard but at the end of the day, if we need time with our family or time away, Preferred allows us the opportunity to take it. I haven't worked at a company who spends as much time and money on their people as Preferred does.
Cons
We're set to grow - this sometimes means longer hours but the additional effort is always rewarded and acknowledged.

Pros
Salary, Vacation Time (If you can deal with double work before and after), Bonuses
Cons
It’s gotten worse especially this year. Time spent on special events take away from making goals. Pressure on remotes to join activities but shackled in terms of mileage and decent hotels. Upper Mgt change leadership styles based upon books read instead of making a real effort to know what they expect from staff and themselves. Employees are forced to do work outside of normal duties and job descriptions are changed without notice. I don’t believe a word that management says. They promise things then refuse to do it.
2 - 2.0Territory ManagerCurrent Employee, more than 3 years
Pros
Pros are becoming fewer and fewer, not the company it used to be.
Cons
Incredibly high turnover, 3 Chief UW managers in 3 years, 6 Territory manager in 3 years. Takes almost a year for positions to be filled, meanwhile other team members have to pick up the slack without any additional compensation or even acknowledgement. Small company , so limited resources available to do you job. Some members of leadership have no business being in the positions they are in.
4 - 4.0Customer Service RepresentativeCurrent Employee, more than 1 yearNew Berlin, NY
Pros
Benefits, flexibility, helpful employees and resources.
Cons
They don’t pay, I am making what someone starting at Walmart or McDonalds makes, and I have been trained in a speciality. We don’t even make a decent living and almost all of us have second jobs because of it.

- 2.0Senior ManagerFormer Employee, more than 8 years
Pros
Pay decent. Can work from home most of the time.
Cons
The management keeps saying they are caring and have a family feeling. NOT TRUE, They put on a phony show and want the employee's to drink the Kool -Aid. They have a lot of turnover. Medical Plan stinks.
- 1.0Claims RepresentativeFormer Employee, more than 8 yearsNew Berlin, NY
Pros
Good pay, PTO is nice.
Cons
Everything, this place backstabs and is unworthy of good employees. They pick favorites and the managers are misogynistic. Don’t work here if you’re a female. Also don’t try to get FMLA, they’ll fire you immediately after finding out you applied for it!!!!
- 5.0Software DeveloperCurrent Employee, more than 5 yearsNew Berlin, NY
Pros
Compensation is very competitive. Company has a strong focus on work-life balance. Very supportive of remote personnel. I've worked in and with several departments. Managers in all of them are great people and people focused.
Cons
I really cannot think of any.

Pros

Cons
Lazy. Over 150 in the business but only represented in 4 or 5 states. Still using IBM Mainframe as core software No room for advancement. Only 2% profit sharing instead of 12% as promised when hired.
