If Russia, which should have a big military advantage on paper, is failing during ideal weather conditions due to massive logistical and organizational problems, how does increasing the logistical burden with winter weather then increase the advantage that they have over Ukraine?

Of course, we in the Central Europe know, what the russians do, they did it just since forever. Stealing children, committing genocide and deporting people is is the only thing russia is good at. If you want a genocide, just pust your defences down, and they will pay you a visit

The most under-reported and vile part of the war is the kidnapping of millions of Ukrainians to Russia. They are not "refugees" who just "arrived" like Russian media wants people to think. Ethnocide. Genocide. Kidnapping.

Russia just updated their numbers yesterday. The number of people taken from Ukraine into Russia is now over 5 million, including 721,000 children. These are Russian claims. The Ukrainian project childrenofwar.gov.ua has the documented proof of child removals.

It's frustrating to see how 'good Russians' with imperialistic mindset who fled abroad are occupying more and more space in the media/cultural scene, while Ukrainians are heard less and less because they simply have no electricity/mobile/internet connection due to Russian attacks

(1/3) 🧵The official UC Santa Cruz Twitter handle will be dark for the foreseeable future. We are concerned about recent changes that are allowing for the increased spread of misinformation and hate speech, in opposition to our campus values and Principles of Community.

FACT: “Conservatives” were never banned from Twitter. Folks who threatened people’s lives, spread dangerous COVID disinfo, plotted insurrections, and spread Nazi messages were. The fact that these two groups overlap is an indictment of your movement—but not proof of bias.

Just the opposite. You are presuming there will be a balance in perspective among blue checks. I would bet against that. My guess is the blue checks lean pro-elon and will use the impact of blocks, mutes and likes to create intentional echo chambers that reflect Elon’s positions

A significant % of Ukrainians who went to 🇷🇺 after Feb 24, did not go willingly. Many wanted to go to an area under UA govt control or an area under 🇷🇺 occupation less dangerous than were they were, but were told either Russia or stay where you are. researched this.

Confederate General APHill was a traitor who killed United States soldiers. He does not get a pass for being White and Virginian just as murderous Nazi generals do not get a pass. F’ing Bulldoze it.

Tearing down monuments is bad enough, but digging up the bones of A. P. Hill is such an absolutely sick thing to do that I'm at a loss for words. The trouble with reawakening old ghosts is that it all seems like great fun until suddenly it isn't.
