We recently completed an addition on our house where we added a bathroom, office and dining room. About 300sqft in total. What a pleasure it was to work with Paul and his team. From our first meeting reviewing plans, to how he approached the few hiccups that come with any major project, all the way to final sign-off; Paul and his team were knowledgeable, polite, respectful and overall great people to work with. They are the kind of people that are hard to find these days; making sure the work is done the right way because that's the way it should be, not so they can nickel and dime you for changes. Not only was the work great, but the team was fast as well. Working through Oct-Jan and with the rain we got this year, there was no major schedule slip or cost overruns.

I was impressed with the reviews so I sent in the in-line form and also called the company. No response at all. Not good business.

We did a complete rebuild on our home site with a basement and hired Paul and his guys. We now have a beautiful home that is to our specifications. Paul and Rob were great! Patient, knowledgeable, thorough and flexible. We changed our minds about a number of things along the way, Paul and Rob gave valuable insights so we came out with the best solutions. Their attention to detail is evident and their subcontractors are top notch. Paul took care of all the city requirements etc., which made our lives much easier and was available as issues arise, even now after the job is done when we want extra things done. I needed some siding and wood rot repair on my house. Paul had done an arbor for me over 10 years ago and I liked the workmanship.

The repair job was relatively small, so some contractors were not interested. Paul was willing to do the work if I was flexible with timing, which was fine with me. I don't mind waiting to get a job done right.

His crew arrived on time (rare among contractors) and finished as estimated. They were efficient and thorough.

At some point I might redo all the siding and would not hesitate to call Paul.

We used Vandonzel Construction to remodel our house in San Carlos at the beginning of 2010. They did an exceptional job all around - they moved quickly, had great subcontractors, were flexible with changing design plans, made great suggestions along the way, and were very competitive in price. We absolutely love Paul! Not only is he an excellent contractor. . . he is also a really nice guy and so easy to work with. He has done a couple of additions for us and most recently he installed all new windows and french doors in half of our home. He makes what seems like the impossible possible and has never let us down. He is an excellent carpenter and has a great sense of design. We highly recommend him. We wouldn't think of using anyone else.
