Paul L. Macek was a district judge of Iowa District 7. He was appointed to this position in 2008. Macek was retained to a full six-year term in the 2010 general election. He was retained again in the general election on November 8, 2016.[1][2] Macek resigned from the court in 2017.[3]

Biography

Macek earned an undergraduate degree and a J.D. from the University of Iowa in 1970 and 1973, respectively.[4]

Before his appointment to the bench in 2008, he worked in private practice in Davenport and as an assistant city attorney for Bettendorf.[4]
