Hawaii Pacific Sportfishing boat “Play n Hooky” is located in Hawaii on Oahu’s beautiful Waikiki’s South Shore. We offer full, three-quarter and half day fishing adventures to some of Hawaii’s most popular fishing grounds. Spend the day relaxing and fishing off of the beautiful Island of Oahu as our experienced crew guides you on an exciting day of fishing for Marlin, Ahi, Mahi Mahi and Ono. There’s no waiting to get to the fishing grounds we start fishing as soon as we leave the harbor! For your party from one to six people we provide all bait, tournament quality Penn reels with 5O7C custom rods, ice and a US Coast Guard licensed captain and professional deckhand. No license or experience is required, just bring food, drink, sunglasses and sunscreen. Fish Policy: * On a private charter the crew of the “Play n Hooky” will gladly split the days catch with you up to 50 pounds of whole fish. * On a share charter everyone will be offered an eating portion (approximately 2 to 4 pounds) depending on the days catch. * All fish weighing over 80 pounds will not be cut and kept by the boat. * If you wish to tag and release any fish that are caught please discuss that with the captain before you book. * The captain and crew will gladly have your catch professionally mounted and shipped to your home or desired destination. Note: Selling fish helps us keep the cost of the charter to you as low as possible. If you really desire to keep your catch please discuss that with the captain before booking your trip. Please remember the selling of fish and tips is a major part of the captain and crews income. Had the time of our lives
Fishing started out a little bit slow, but captain Joe and Teoni persevered. After 5 hours we finally got a bite, it came off the hook before we could reel it in but we quickly landed a second within a few minutes and got that one in the boat. We then had a dry spell for a couple hours but then a marlin struck our hook. We fought to reel it in for 45 minutes and got a 100 pound striped marlin for our trouble. The thrill we got from fighting this fish and having our line drag out hundreds of feet. Captain Joe slammed the boat in reverse to give chase, the chair they had made an impossible task a little bit easier, the chair reel and rods were all top notch and in excellent condition. If they did not have the chair sliding apparatus we would still be reeling in that marlin. We had the time of our lives with our family members. The Cabin was air Conditioned with 2 large love seats. The restrooms were very spacious and comfortable. I am over 6 feet tall and had zero problems with room. We highly recommend captain Joe he was very chill and just let us do our thing.

Excellent day on the water
Could not have asked for a better day! Capt. Teoni & Sam were awesome and together with their experience we hooked up and brought on board a 180 lb Striped Marlin and 200 lb Blue Marlin…AMAZING! Since we were unable to take any of the fish.. Capt. Teoni & Sam made sure we got great pictures! Thank you Capt. Joe , Capt. Teoni & Sam for the everlasting memories… absolutely look forward to fishing with you again!

Great Captain and crew
The crew was outstanding as we fished all day. Was family of five with 3 teen age sons. We caught one towards end of trip. Wish we could keep some fish to take home. The fishing industry standard of boat keeping fish over so big seem unfair. As we did get the experience but nothing to take home cause our fish was too big. Would recommend captain an Sam to anyone as a crew that works hard an is extremely friendly an helpful. Sam is a great young man an especially helpful with the boys. Thanks guys
