Y’all, I’m in an embassy suites in Huntsville & just called housekeeping to ask if they’d be so kind to bring creamer for my coffee in the morning because my room was out. When the gentlemen dropped it off, he stared at me a second, his wheels turning, & said “Are you Mary Kay?”

coach Jeremy Pruitt: Everywhere I’ve been, great players started first on the scout team. I knew how good A.J McCarron, Jalen Hurts, Eddie Lacy, Chance Warmack were gonna be when I saw how they performed on the scout team.

I wonder how many college football teams have ever had two games in eight days delayed by weather when zero drops of rain hit the ground either time.

Satan wants us to believe the lie that we can’t trust God to work things out. But God wants us to remember He can make a way. Here is a simple verse we can put on repeat tonight: “In you, Lord my God, I put my trust.” Psalm 25:1

One of the gutsiest things we could pray is to be humbled easily. That it wouldn’t take much to red-face our hubris, drop us to our knees & evoke us to esteem others. All pride is brought low but it’s a shorter fall from our tiptoes to our knees than from our high place to a pit.

The contrast between the outpouring of love for McCain in his last days and the astonishing vitriol directed at him in 2000 and 2008 demonstrates once again how disingenuous, low, and cheap American politics were well before Trump came on the scene.

To all the parents taking livid kids to church: Drive on, Ye Braveheart, though they whine, pout, sass & snark. Steer that wheel, though thy punishments be harsh. Hosts of mighty saints had the kind of mean awful parents who put their hind ends in the car & drove them to church.
