Congratulations to Senior Corporal Melissa Coody, #5957, for receiving the honor of being named June’s Officer of the Month. Senior Corporal Melissa Coody is a 28-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department and is currently assigned to the storefront in the Jubilee Park community.  In a letter to the Meritorious Conduct Board, Sergeant Bridget Wilson-Jones #6360 wrote,” Senior Corporal Coody has excellent people skills, is a team player, and self-starter with a high degree of versatility. Her open-minded approachable style of leadership and creative thinking is an asset to the unit and her work can be seen through her professionalism.” Senior Corporal Coody exemplified her characteristics of compassion and community outreach after she met a family in need who just lost a loved one that was vital to their financial security. After she learned about the family’s situation she submitted all of them for Santa Cops so they would be taken care of and could have a good Christmas.
