Parish Attorney's Office
The Parish Attorney’s Office is responsible for directing and supervising the legal affairs of the City/Parish of Baton Rouge. The office provides legal advice to the Mayor, the Council and other City departments and boards. Our office cannot provide legal advice to citizens.

Adjudicated Property
Adjudicated Property sales involve the sale of property that has been placed in government control due to failure to pay property taxes.

Alcoholic Beverage Control & Gaming
Alcoholic Beverage Control and Gaming licenses alcohol and charitable gaming businesses and their employees and investigates violations of law in these two areas.

City Prosecutor’s Office
The City Prosecutor's Office is responsible for prosecuting all misdemeanor criminal violations as well as traffic violations that occur within the city limits of Baton Rouge.

Ordinance Violations
Code Enforcement involves the enforcement of City/Parish ordinances as they relate to matters such as blight, zoning, building codes, and drainage.

Condemnations
Condemnation Liens are placed upon property by the City to recover the cost of demolition once the City has completed the condemnation process.

Litigation
Litigation is responsible for representing the City and its various departments in all civil legal proceedings.

Parking Ticket Collections
Parking Ticket Collections are handled by the Collections Division of our office.

Pre-Trial Diversion
Pre-Trial Diversion is an opportunity for first time violators to have their criminal charges dismissed after completing program requirements.

Public Records
Public Records requests for the City and each City Department are answered by the Parish Attorney’s Office.

Risk Management
Risk Management evaluates exposures to loss for the City Parish and oversees insurance coverage.
