Ocwen Loan Servicing

This should be a one star but I know that Yelp will most likely filter this if I one star it (I am very sure Ocwen is paying to have 91 one star reviews buried).

Anyway... My GMAC company folded and sold my loan to "cawk" wen here. The most important thing to know about this company is:

1. They exist to feed the bellies of shareholders. That is all. Helping lenders is and will always be secondary to their main mission. In fact they only know how to turn screws into thumbs to get people to cough up the money.

2. They started and learned all their predatory and hateful skills by buying up delinquent loans and being so nasty they were successful. These skills now have transferred to good lendees like you and me whose loans were sold to what is the housing equivalent of payday or car title loan companies... I mean, total bottom rung.

3. The company is so shady they are currently under scrutiny by the NY Superintendent of Financial Services.

4. This is what happens when a congress is so full of payouts by the banking industry that they pass no laws after the great recession... business as usual.

5. The rest I could share others have so I will let it stand but for my part I am refi-ing outta here.

This is the most abysmal company I have had the displeasure of have to navigate. If they purchased my mortgage, they have a poor quality of service.
There are several letters distributed to the home owner under multiple different logos and letter heads. There are a legion of phone numbers to phone with little explanation of the purpose of the number or identification of the associated division. Do better!

An elderly friend of mine took a predatory loan when he was in his 80's and within a few years had this company throwing him out of his home. It was very traumatic for him at this advanced age to be out of a home. They pretended to help him, while advancing the foreclosure remorselessly. These institutions are not to be trusted! This friend managed to find an assisted living facility in another city and just died in January 2023 in his mid-90's. We allowed millions to be thrown out of homes by these "financial institutions", and they will do it again if we allow them.

Nobody in corp office ever answers the phone

they never reply to letters or messages sent through the mail

refinance and get as far away from this company as you can

or

enjoy trying to get help from their idiot loan servicing staff in INDIA

The only experience that you need to get a job there is if we have previous experience and telemarketing scam phone centers in India

Horrible service. Horrible communication. Do yourself a favor and get a mortgage through a known bank and ensure they cannot sell your loan, otherwise you may end up with these clowns.

OCWEN erroneously and incorrectly reported a late payment. I have had to dispute it with each individual credit agency because OCWEN refuses to answer my attempts to contact them or produce any documentation related to the supposed late payment.

I never resolved my issue with my insurance coverage. I was really hoping to get a courtesy call.
It's nice to be important. It's more important to be nice.

no foreclosure ever listed. Ocwen sold my home. Terrible company no ethics

1. Terrible customer service. The people answering the phones understand close to nothing about their business. They have terrible communication skills. They don't listen to what you're asking. They have little bits of information memorized and lack any real understanding.

2. One of the worst phone trees in existence. By accident or by design Ocwen's phone tree navigation will make you want to take your own life.

We did not choose Ocwen. We got stuck with them after our mortgage was sold.

Not to pile on, but this is truly the ass end of the mortgage business. To add continued insult to injury, their telemarketing centers in India keep harassing us by trying to sell us products. They are poor in their communications and interpersonal skills, the calls are nothing less than annoying and are a detriment to what little credibility the company has.

The mortgage industry is far from being right-sided with little oversight. Truly the lunatics running the asylum!
