Organon Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. Names James Harmon Vice President, Managed Markets

ROSELAND, N.J., March 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Organon Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. has named James G. Harmon Vice President, Managed Markets. Harmon has an impressive breadth of experience in the areas of managed markets and sales that spans over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry. He has an extensive and accomplished background in managed care, operations and sales management. In this position, Harmon will oversee the entire Managed Markets function for the U.S. business which includes strategy development and leadership of account management groups, government accounts, biotech specialty pharmacy, trade relations, pricing, and contracting. As complex customer priorities evolve and new business models emerge Harmon will lead the effort to ensure that the needs and priorities of Organon's customers are served while ensuring that business interests are fully maximized. He will also serve as a member of Organon's Executive Leadership Team.

Most recently, Harmon held the position of Executive Director, Sales Force, Customer and Diagnostic Development with Watson Pharma Inc., Morristown, NJ. In this position, he led the managed care team and the diagnostics division, as well as sales and management training and development, helping the company expand from a generic manufacturer to include branded pharmaceutical business. Prior to this, Jim was employed by Pharmacia Corporation and Searle Pharmaceuticals for over 10 years where he held leadership positions as Executive Director, Contracting and Pricing Operations, Regional Sales Director, and Director of Managed Care and played a role in the launch of products like Celebrex, Ambien and Detrol LA.

Jim holds a bachelor's degree from University of Northern Colorado and has received numerous awards for excellence confirming his long record of commitment and accomplishment in the pharmaceutical industry. He lives in Long Valley, New Jersey with his wife and two children where he also serves as an elected member of the township Board of Education.
