They are collectors, what are you gonna do. Get angry and yell nothing will be fixed.
Anyways, had an ambulance bill mix up from a year ago, apparently it got sent to an address that I NEVER lived at, since no one bothered sending the bill back saying that person doesn't live there, they didn't get their money and turned me into collections. Called the service, was told it was out of their systems, and sorry for the mix up but I'd have to contact NW collectors.
Called NW collectors, they were polite and civilized, etc and understood my situation. In 10 mins everything was solved and they said by the end of the month my credit score (-53 points from the claim) should go back up because it will be dropped. Thank Goodness!
The only small issue I had was having an extra fee (small but still a charge) for a "cash advancement fee" which they failed to notify me of.
All in all though, it wasn't a bad experience, everything was taken care of in a timely manner. If it happens again (hopefully never will) I would not mind working with these people again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kathryn B.Evanston, IL016Jul 9, 2019
A number of issues. Not receiving important information via fax, degrading customer service. Giving me an ultimatum to help me or not based on me questioning their ethics. I was told different things by 3 different people that all work together. Yet they say I am in the wrong and did not send documents, when I did and they never received the fax. When I finally sent them an email copy they questioned the document. Nothing but issue after issue and they put the blame on me and saying that they are trying to help me out. BEWARE, hard company to work with. Only care about receiving money and making themselves look good.

I had an outstanding bill of $140.00 from Dr. Aleksander Krunic from 2014, submitted to Northwest Collectors. The debt was paid over a year ago. I sent my payment via Priority Mail. Unfortunately I had the incorrect account number for Northwest and the payment remained unfound. I contacted TransUnion through Credit Karma and contested the debt. They did an investigation and removed this debt from my report. The debt disappeared from my Equifax report around the same time as TransUnion. About three or four days later, the debt with Northwest Collectors reappeared - and stayed - on my Equifax report.
I called Northwest earlier this year to find out what was going on. I was asked to identify my account by name. Before I was given an answer, the woman who took my call told me that the call was being recorded for quality assurance. Then, she said they never got my payment.
I filed a report with Priority Mail. I also went to the currency exchange where I purchased the money order to find out that my sent payment was cashed in May of 2016. The money order I sent had my first and last name on it as well the account number on it.
I called Northwest Collectors and gave the account number I had instead of having someone looking up my account by my name. When the lady looked up the account number I gave, the paid debt was found. It was a different account number from what Northwest had but the payment was recoverd She told me that the debt would be taken off my credit report the first week of this month, July 2017.
I checked my Credit Karma report four or five times since then. My $141.00 debt from Northwest Collectors still had a derogatory remark on my Equifax report.
On Thursday July 20th I called Northwest Collectors and spoke with Eileen. I asked why I still had that remark on my Equifax report on Credit Karma. She said that it takes seven years before the remark would come off my Credit Karma report. I told her I never heard of that before. All paid debts on my credit report was removed right away . Eileen said the remark on Credit Karma would only be partially removed until 2022 because I didn't pay my bill in 2014. I found her to be rude. I've never heard of any collection agency having done that before. Eileen said every credit agency is different.
True, very true.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Cori P.San Francisco, CA01Jan 24, 2018
I don't believe this company is real. They are a scam. They now have a Inc. added to their name. My deceased mother-in-law has received 2 bills from them that did not exist. The companies that they claimed she owed money to didn't exist. They used names of companies that were very similar to the actual company. For example, we had to call an ambulance for her quite often. The ambulance we used was through the Troy Fire Protection District. This scam company used the name Troy Fire Department. I called the ambulance company and they told me she didn't owe them any money. If you get a bill from this company..... I can almost bet it's not real. BEWARE!

Awful company. Northwest collectors are as unprofessional as they come. The women hung up on me when I was asking her questions. If you have to deal with them I apologize.

Rude, foul people that refuse to stop calling my cell phone regarding a debt. When I attempt to return robo calls, they are either closed or combative. They don't like being called very much. I don't understand why they call me and refuse to be of any use.
