Municipal Court

Brighton Municipal Court is a limited jurisdiction court serving the citizens of Brighton, Colorado. The Court has jurisdiction to hear cases of traffic, misdemeanor, animal and code violations, as well as parking citations.


IN-PERSON HEARINGS:

The Brighton Municipal Court will be holding all court appearances in person. The court holds most hearings on Tuesday or Friday. If you are ill or unable to appear at your scheduled court date, please contact the Municipal Court by email at municourt@brightonco.gov or call 303-655-2064 to discuss your options.


REMOTE APPEARANCE - VIRTUAL HEARINGS:

Payments and Email


A payment drop box is available inside the main entrance of the police department in the front vestibule. Payment may also be made online at citepayusa.com with your citation/ticket number, which should be 10 digits in length. See FAQ Can I pay my ticket online for more information. Dress Code

Admittance to the Courtroom will not be permitted if you are wearing any of the following:

  • Shorts
  • Tank tops
  • Gang-related clothing
  • Drug-related clothing
  • Clothing with sexually explicit graphics
  • Pajamas
