04 — FRAUDULENT JOB OFFERS
Job Scam Warning
Sometimes unauthorized individuals or groups claiming to be Motiva or asserting that they represent Motiva make fictitious employment offers using the Motiva name. Often, these fraudulent offers of employment are sent via email. These e-mails can look legitimate and may include details of the alleged employment opportunity such as job description, salary, work schedule and benefits. They sometimes request payment to obtain visas or work credentials. Please be wary of fraudulent activity when assessing a communication regarding potential employment or an invitation to submit an application, supposedly from Motiva.
Please do not send money or provide any personal details to anyone suggesting they can provide employment with Motiva. Motiva never seeks fees from job applicants under any circumstances. We will never request payment for VISAs or other employment-related services or requirements. If you have applied for a position through a legitimate channel, we will have the needed information.
What you should do if recruitment fraud is suspected? We recommend that you do not respond to unsolicited offers of employment from people claiming to work for, or be affiliated with, Motiva. If you believe you have received a fraudulent employment offer, please contact your local law enforcement authorities.
