It decent
FG 1 (Current Employee) - El Dorado, AR - March 20, 2024
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIt would be ok if it wasn't so micromanaged . The work is fairly easy but it's long. The workers are messy. The bosses on the floor are messy. I just go do my job & go home

If you know the right people, the sky is the limit
Assembler (Current Employee) - Concordia, MO - February 22, 2024
Started off great. The longer I’m there, the more I see the blatant nepotism. There is zero regard for potential unless you are in the correct family/social circle. The best way to get ahead is to quit and come back.
Pros
The work can be challenging

Good work. Union works for you no forced overtime but plenty of opportunities to sign up for overtime. Plenty of different jobs to chose from so you don’t get bored

Good people/environment if you’re good back. Expected fast paced working skills. Management is alright. Over all place of work isn’t bad with decent pay. Days can be slow but when there’s work, you’re up and going.

Solid Company
Assembly Line Worker (Current Employee) - Kansas City, MO - August 31, 2023
Solid place to work. Pay is good and you are busy every day. High demand job but rewarding and you have opportunity to advance if you put your mind to it

Company Works Hard to Maintain a Family Environment
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) - Kansas City, MO - August 8, 2023
Work/Life balance is good. Values family you can tell in their bereavement policy. They work hard at creating a good culture to work in. I would recommend Milbank as a great place to work.

Union
Representative (Former Employee) - Concordia, MO - April 25, 2023
There are always problems around employment. It comes as no surprise that Milbank is any different. But Any company willing to have a conversation with labor represented fairly deserves applause. Even if there is room for improvement.

It is ok.
die shop (Former Employee) - El Dorado, AR - April 18, 2023
It is ok. The lead is kinda sketchy. Other than that, the other people in the factory are kinda cool to be around. It has AC!! Doesn't get too hot in the summer.

Production
Final Assembly (Former Employee) - El Dorado, AR - April 17, 2023
Working like a robot & standing back lurking over you, then walk up to you saying you need to go faster & faster. Talk to their ppl like dogs. Do not recommend at all.
Pros
No pro
Cons
Short breaks, break room 560 steps away on a 30 min lunch break that they don't pay for.

It's a job with a lot of mess and an unprofessional environment
Paint Line (Current Employee) - El Dorado, AR - April 4, 2023
They tell you no overtime until after your 90 day probation period then after a month it changes they will having you coming in before your 90 days is up and make you look like a like... They stick beside each other when they know something isn't accurate..

This is not a place career advancement or fair pay. BUT If you need a job, in between jobs then yeah. But I’m warning you now, the place has a rotten core
Pros
It’s a job
Cons
Compensation issues and Milbank Culture is trash

Avoid like the plague!
Production Assembly Operator (Current Employee) - Kansas City, MO - October 5, 2022
Health Insurance is bad and too expensive. People are always getting hurt. 1 week vacation until 5th year then at 2 weeks until 10 years. Point system is not in contrat so can be changed at any time to eliminate people. Union is in management's pocket. We voted no on contract and union president insisted on a recount and intimated people in to changing their vote. Now we're stuck with a contract we didn't want for the next 4 years. Union reps are constantly getting promoted out of the union and the nepotism is ridiculous. They can't keep people and will make you do alot more than the job you signed up for.

Benefits suck and so does the union
Production Worker (Former Employee) - Kansas City, MO - September 22, 2022
Management lies and will try to manipulate you and the union does nothing to help you unless you are part of their clique. 1 week vacation for first 3 years then 2 until you reach 10 years. 401k not fully vested until after 5 years. Constant safety issues . People are always getting hurt and management will try to blame you. No earbuds or shorts allowed. Continuously running out of parts and asking for volunteers to go home.

Understaffed.
Production Worker (Current Employee) - El Dorado, AR - September 2, 2022
Under staffed and you work hard for every cent. They demand production. Also mandatory overtime on every other Friday and Saturday it’s incredibly hard on the body and makes for an extremely long week.

Lack of work makes it difficult to stay positive
Flow Line Assembler/ Wire Machine Set-up Operator (Former Employee) - Kansas City, MO - August 24, 2022
Moral is very low here. The pandemic hit while I was still with the company and I feel they didn't quit care for their employees as they should have.

Good place to work
Flowline assembler (Current Employee) - Kansas City, MO - May 23, 2022
The pay is good there. The company will give you (every once in a while) 1 - 2 hours to leave early with pay depending if the union member did a good job within that month. The Benefits here suck though
Pros
pay
Cons
benefits
