The Paramount Network, which you haven't heard of yet because right now it's still called Spike, just released the trailer for its newest original series, Waco—and hoo boy, am I gonna watch this thing. Check out the first look here:

The series follows the real-life 51-day siege that took place in Waco, Texas in 1993. Taylor Kitsch stars as David Koresh, the leader of the Branch Davidians, a religious group (read: mini-cult). Opposite him, Michael Shannon is Gary Noesner, an FBI agent tasked with breaching Koresh's compound. Elsewhere, John Leguizamo, Melissa Benoist, and Rory Culkin also star.

Cults? Michael Shannon's terrifying intensity? Taylor Kitsch's mullet/huge glasses combo? Sign me the hell up. Waco will be six episodes long and will premiere January 2018 on the—you forgot already, didn't you?—Paramount Network.
