A ceremony celebrating the life of Mr. Marvin G. Holley will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 12, at the chapel of Seale Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until time of the service. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Felder Cemetery. Mr. Holley was born in Lincoln County, Tenn., on Jan. 31, 1951, and departed from this life on Wednesday morning May 7, 2014, at his home in Denham Springs at the age of 63. He served with the United States Navy and also served over 20 years as a volunteer fireman with District 4. He worked as a security guard, automotive mechanic and a cabinet installer. He was never without his pipe. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, son, father and grandpa. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Holley. Survivors include his wife, Betty Ann Rodgers Holley; sons, Shannon Holley and CG Holley (Casey); his mother, Elveree Holley; sisters, Sandra J. Yates and Kathy D. Whitworth (Randy); grandchildren, MJ “Cherry Blossom”, Alex “Lil Man”, Angel “Pumpkin Pie” and Krystal “Rosebud”; special uncle, Ray Holley; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
