Highly recommend for people living in West Ashley! They're consistent, the work is quality, and price is on par with competition.

Low Country Laundry and Dry Cleaners on Folly Road in West Ashley is a great place for all things laundry and dry cleaning services. They work very efficiently and get everything done when they say it will be done. I have been happy with all of their services each time.

Not open when they claim to be. Drove all the way over and saw someone inside but a note in the door that they have new hours 9-5 M-F. So if you work (which is why most people need dry cleaning) they aren't available for you. They should prob rethink their biz model.

Checked out this spot today after researching some other options. The prices listed here on Yelp are not the same as what they have in store - 5.65 on here for some item vs almost $7 once I brought them to the store. Please update!

Nishiki is always friendly since day one . She is on top of her game . I was running late and she called to tell me she would wait for me .
I guess customer service is still around.

Regina made it happen last second on Fri afternoon and I picked up my shirt and pants at 4pm on Saturday! Thank you so much!

I take my easier to clean items to the $1.50 place (review below), but needed a place for nicer garments. I was hesitant based on reviews of their other locations, but decided try them based on some convenience factors. Although the Windermere shopping center can be a cluster at times, it was quite convenient to pull into the drive-thru. I also like their extended hours - being open until 7pm is a huge plus.
The lady who helped me was very nice. I pointed out a few spots that I knew needed extra attention. I didn't ask for the prices up front, but it came out to around $6 for sweaters, $8 for a beaded top, $8 for a silk top, and $7 for a knitted blazer. I didn't think the prices were too bad. They texted me to let me know when my clothes were ready (24 hours later) which was nice.
Only two cons here: (1) I didn't get a ticket after dropping my clothes off, which was a new concept to me. Honestly, I didn't even think to ask until I got home because it's been protocol at every dry cleaners I've ever been to. I actually prefer having that slip of paper to remind me that I have dry cleaning waiting to be picked up, but more importantly, what all I dropped off. I'll make sure to ask next time. (2) I had a sheer white silk blouse that had a stain, but I didn't realize it had another DARK stain on the back until I brought it home. It didn't come out after the cleaning, and I'd like to think they look over clothes before they approve them to be given back. I believe the stain would have been apparent with a quick once over with a trained eye. It won't prevent me from returning, but it did teach me a lesson to double, triple check for stains and to make sure to point them all out prior to dropping off clothing.
All in all, I'll continue to use these guys for nicer items.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Erik C.Charleston, SC73Jun 22, 2017
Prices went way up ($6+ for dress shirt dry clean), quality way down for the last 3 months,
i had dry cleaning for shirts come back with weird dingy yellow stain spots in strange places (e.g. reverse of neck lapel, etc), about 2 per 10, then they started hassling about needing a receipt for their do overs)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Daniel S.Mount Pleasant, SC020Dec 2, 2016
Low Country Dry Cleaners has an old time customer service feel with modern convenience. I travel fairly often for work, so when I have a drop off, it's usually a fair amount of shirts and suits. Each time, I'm greeted with a smile and polite conversation.
A staff member named Regina is always helpful and considerate. I opted to have email reminders and receipts, but I believe they have a text or regular printed receipt option as well. This is a great feature, as it serves as a friendly reminder to head over and pick up your clothes. Speaking to further convenience, they also have a grove through.
Good location, outstanding staff, and results that speak for themselves make this business an easy one to recommend to friends and others.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chad R.Tampa, FL56322May 24, 2017
I could make this an extremely long review about my terrible service at this place, but I don't even want to contribute any more time to this business. Long story short, I dropped off a comforter, after three visits to check to see if the comforter was not completely wrinkled and still smelling like a wet dog with perfume sprayed on it, I finally got it back with the initial makeup spot still in it, and by no way wrinkle free or clean, but after dealing with the owner Courtney Friedman, I had to call it a loss and just be happy to have it back, so I could take it directly to another dry cleaner. Dealing with the owner was frustrating to say the least, he blamed me, on him not knowing how to clean the comforter because the care label was removed from it. It eventually took Charleston Police Department to get involved to get me a refund for my service. The owner Courtney Friedman owns all of the three locations in Charleston, so I would avoid them all.
