I wished I would have read the reviews before I decided to go with this company. I used them because I had used them before and the guy I had was super good. I should have known something was up when the main guy who convinced me to go with them suddenly quit. I don't know all the details, but I agree there is some shady shit going on here and I'm not sure what, I just feel like I got swindled. My refi costed $10,000.00 and it was a REALLY SUPER easy refi, I had lived in my house already a couple years. I will refinance as soon as I can and WILL NEVER use this company again. They are getting bad reviews for a reason!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Shady shady. Tried to do a new construction loan with them.Towards the end when it was supposedly getting wrapped up, I went to the office in Boise to find it closed up shop. I had no way to get my financial documents and and my agent wouldn't answer calls or emails. I had to call Portland and threaten action with the Idaho Attorney General's office to get the agent to meet me in a parking lot to give me my documents. We cancelled loan proceedings with them immediately and went elsewhere. The entire experience was a nightmare and set us back weeks.

My Wife has been working with Jeff Vujcevic for quite a few weeks. It have been one of the most stressful times for us. We are not in any hard ship but just looking to save money on our current FHA loan that 1 year old. Looking to get PMI dropped and any interest. It has been a nightmare. My wife gives me updates on what's going on.
Sounds like Jeff is eather having his mid life crisis or is on drugs. He has verbally told my wife we haves a closing date. He has continually put us off and not return phone calls when he said he would. He has lost our paper work and has question my wife's Credit report, when he emailed it to us, the name on it was not us. Who is this guy, is he licensed. I hope for the mortgage company he has been fried. We now have a new officer. So now I have asked my wife to continue with this company just so we don't have to restart all this. It's time for this company to step up. And make it right! I will report back on completion or termination or our loan. All ways give the business a chance to make it right. As a business owner my self. You can't alway criticize a business for something one of their employees does but you can't criticize or complement how they handled the situation

We had a great experience!! They were in constant communication with us, so there was never any confusion, fought for the best rate possible and all the steps (until the final close) were trackable and signable online. Our loan officer, Brie Fisher was amazing from the beginning and willing to offer advice even after we closed.

WARNING!!!!!!!!! Do not go with this company for your loan of your new home. Not only were they un professional but they dropped the ball of the loan of the purchase of the home. 1 day before closing they informed the agent that they didn't have any loan docs ready for submission ....then when confronted they didn't want to take any responsibility. It was entirely their fault and FRANK HEMLAND was awful. He was rude and unprofessional and never tried to compromise with either agents. Both the buyer and seller were out close to $1500.00 (which we were never compensated) and he never tried to help at all. All he did was question the agents character and state that it wasn't the companies fault. He has no regard for customer service. This company is unprofessional and not willing to help EVEN WHEN IT WAS THEIR FAULT ..the buyer and seller couldn't close due to the company not adhering to their promises of having loan docs to the title company in a timely manner. It wasn't the buyer or sellers fault ..it was theirs and they wanted to take no responsibility. Very disappointed with the lack of help and maturity. If loan docs aren't to title 1 day prior to close whos fault is that ???? THE LENDER and that lender is loan star home lending. Theres nothing STAR about them.

I recently closed a tough to approve VA loan with Mary Pennel and LoanStar Home Lending. We managed to close on time, and exceeded the buyer's expectations throughout the entire transaction. As a seasoned Real Estate Professional, I know how difficult it can be to find a quality lending partner. Mary Pennel is a lender of high integrity and someone who can be trusted to always put her client's interest's first, and to follow through with what she states she will do. Mary is always available 7 days a week, and after business hours, which is critical in this market and industry. Today's market is tough, and it's important to have a lending partner you can trust with difficult transactions and who you can count on to get the job done.

You will not be disappointed when Mary and her team are working with you!

Jayson Bates of LOANSTAR made it possible for us to get our house that we wanted. He is very good at his job. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I recently closed on my first home purchase with the help of Mary Pennel and her team. She was both professional and caring at the same time and really held my hand through the process. Mary and her team were always available to answer my questions and responded quickly which was key to closing in time. I would highly recommend working with Mary especially if you are a first time home buyer like I was and want an ally who will guide you quickly and carefully through the tricky loan process and come out feeling great about your home purchase!

I will never use this company again. I just purchased my first home and it was the worst experience and I wish I would have gone through someone else. My closing date was rescheduled 3 times. FINALLY they set a day and a time, I get to the escrow office and the paperwork still was not ready! My loan officer showed up late (knowing I had to be to work and I scheduled it for a specific time for a reason) so that delayed the sellers and buyers even more! I'm not sure if it was my loan officer, or someone else, I just don't know. I was told my down payment would be X amount and just a couple days before closing I was told otherwise. I asked numerous times what the EXACT amount I needed to make the cashiers check for, and I kept getting "I'm not at my desk" then she never got back to me. I showed up with a check hoping it was enough because no one would answer my questions. We purchased our home after renting the same home for a few years, so we know the sellers. They could not believe this experience either. They told me typically you get some sort of gift from the lender, which we did. A Uhaul gift card. They all knew we didn't have to move, since we already lived there. To say the least, they wouldn't give us any other gift. This is not a company that builds relationships with their clientele, OBVIOUSLY. Go somewhere else, save yourself a nightmare.

I worked with Mary Pennel for my loan. My situation was very complex because of my status as a start-up Founder. She jumped through a thousand hoops to make things happen. She is (by far) the best loan officer I have come across. Highly recommend her.
