Walkinshaw Kay

Though her office is listed in Annandale, she had me go to an office in Maryland.

I saw Kay once a couple of years ago for weight loss hypnosis. During the 2 hour appointment, she spent more time talking about her dysfunctional family than my needs as a patient. She said we'd do hypnosis on my first visit, but that didn't happen. She gave me a raft of unorganized paperwork ( including recommendations on oils I should rub into my feet?!?!) and several CDs.

To get any reimbursement through insurance, I had to get a physicians referral. That made sense, but she took me to a walk in clinic next door, saying that she knew they'd do the paperwork. Seemed like a shady arrangement, especially when she walked me over there and talked with the intake nurse out of my earshot.

My next appointment was in 2 weeks. I debated whether to go, but decided that I would. The office was locked, and I waited 30 minutes - she never showed. Given my earlier misgivings, I felt no compunction to call to see what happened. I was concerned for quite a while about having given her my credit card info for billing, but nothing happened.

I had used hypnotherapy before with great results, but there was neither hypnosis or therapy where Kay was concerned. I would recommend avoiding Kay at all costs.

Kay walkinshaw is one of the most effective Hypnotherapists I have ever experienced in my 25 years of being involved with the field. She is a Master Teacher and is one of the leading experts on deep state (Esdaile) hypnosis. I have found her to be honest and kind. She displays an expertise when it comes to health issues that is both intuitive and experiential . She has helped me on 3 seperate occasions successfully rid myself of medical issues that others could not.( I was able to book appointments with her in MA where she comes to teach other hypnotists how to hone their skills. ) If you can get her to help you, don't hesitate.
