Martinsburg, WV -- JOHN ELLIS MILLER, 81, of 309 Boyd Ave., died Wednesday at City Hospital. Born in Berkeley County, he was the son of John D. and Bessie Ellis Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Ann Mosier Miller.
He was formerly employed at the Berkeley County School Board as maintenance engineer for 16 years, and later at the Fairchild Aircraft Corp. in Hagerstown for 10 years. He was last employed at the Charles Town Race Track until retirement in 1971.
He is survived by three sons, Dale M. Miller, Perry G. Miller and Neal O. Miller, all of Martinsburg; and nine grandchildren and five great-granchildren.
Services were held at the Brown Funeral Home. Burial in the Falling Waters Presbyterian Cemetery.
