We are pleased to announce Kevin M. Kain has joined our practice as of November, 2022. Kevin has devoted his entire 34 year legal career to representing injured workers. He received his B.A. from Michigan State University and his J.D. from Detroit College of Law. He is licensed to practice in the State of Michigan, the United States Federal Court Eastern District of Michigan and before the United States Supreme Court.

At the onset of the pandemic, Michigan Corrections Organization partnered with the law firm Charters, Tyler, Zack & Shearer, P.C. to assist union members in navigating the worker’s comp process and, if necessary, open legal cases on their behalf. Since then, Attorney John Charters has given advice to about 250 MCO members and opened worker’s comp cases for others. John charters worked very hard to make sure my daughter (5 at the time) would be taken care of when her father passed away on the job. We had an annuity set up for her and she received a lump sum in the beginning, and annual payments at 18,19,20,&21. Thanks for really caring Mr Charters!!
