Ernest Duron Villa, 69, of Victoria, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009. He was born Aug. 30, 1939, in Briggs, to the late Andres Villa and Francisca Duron Villa. He was a mechanic and a Catholic.
nbsp;nbsp;He is survived by his wife, Mary Soliz Villa of Victoria; daughters, Ernestine Villegas of Corpus Christi, Theresa Soliz of Victoria, and Tina Soliz of Victoria; sons, Samuel Villa of Victoria, Joe Louis Soliz of Victoria, and Guadalupe Soliz of Dallas; sisters, Josefina Villa of Victoria, Anna Cavazos of Victoria, Leticia Villa of Victoria, Yolanda Neal of Arkansas, and Olga Rodriguez of Houston; brothers, Lorenzo Villa of California and Carlos Villa of Bloomington; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
nbsp;nbsp;He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Villa; and brothers, Sambo Villa, Joe Villa, and Cipriano Villa.
nbsp;nbsp;Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m., at Artero Memorial Chapels in Victoria.
nbsp;nbsp;Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
nbsp;nbsp;Pallbearers will be Samuel Villa, Joe Louis Soliz, Guadalupe Soliz, Lorenzo Villa, Carlos Villa, Robert Cavazos Jr., and Robert Cavazos Sr.
nbsp;nbsp;Honorary pallbearers are Richard Chacon, Floyd Chacon, and Oscar Orona.
