Grace Smith Holiday was born to the late Thomas Smith and Augustine Smith Lodge. On Sunday, October 1, 2017, she parted this life at Baton Rouge General Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Beautiful memories of Grace linger in the hearts of her children: Steven Troy Holiday Sr. (Shvonda) of Denham Springs, La., and Gina Lynn Holiday of Baton Rouge, La.; 5 grandchildren, Troyetta Holiday Slaughter (Corey) of Prairieville, La., Steven Troy Holiday Jr. of Houston, Texas, Troy Michol Holiday of Greensboro, NC, Raven Jonelle Demoulin of Baton Rouge, La., and Trey Joseph Holiday of Baton Rouge, La.; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; and a host of other family and friends. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Horace R. Smith at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Later in life she joined the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, under Rev. Dr. Alfred Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Smith and Augustine Smith Lodge, and her brother George E. Smith. Visitation from 8:00am until religious services at 10:00am Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church: 5651 Martin Luther King Parkway, St. Gabriel, La.
