Hello,

What does "DOES 1-10" mean in a California civil court case document
Database search shows

NAME PARTY TYPE
DOES 1-10 Defendant

Thanks!

It is just a way expressing a quantity of "JOHN or JANE DOES" in a plaintiff's pleadings (when defendant's names are unknown to plaintiff).

Example:

4. John and Jane Does 1-10, are fictitiously named and Plaintiffs will seek to amend their Complaint when the true name of these Defendants are revealed.
